This Privacy Notice describes how Fitz Lawrence (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use the Daily Armor and Daily Covering apps and websites (collectively, the “Service”).
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice, which means we decide how and why your data is processed.
1. Personal data we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Account information: email address, authentication provider details, and optional display name.
- Profile and preference data: your chosen track (Daily Armor or Daily Covering), reminder preferences, and app settings.
- Reflection and journal content: morning and evening reflections, “I Need a Moment” entries, sermon notes, goals, milestones, and any other content you choose to save.
- Usage and device data: app usage patterns, device type, operating system, IP address, and browser information.
- Support and communication data: messages you send us and records of support interactions.
We do not collect or store your payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.
2. How we use your data
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To provide the Service: creating and securing your account, storing your reflections, goals, and notes, and syncing them across devices.
- To personalize your experience: track-specific copy, reminder timing, and optional AI-generated sermon summaries and reflection prompts.
- To improve the Service: analyzing usage trends, fixing bugs, and developing new features.
- To communicate with you: sending account confirmations, support responses, and important service updates.
- For security and fraud prevention: detecting abuse, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity.
- To comply with legal obligations: responding to lawful requests and enforcing our Terms.
3. Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases:
- Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the Service you signed up for.
- Legitimate interests: improving the Service, ensuring security, and preventing fraud.
- Consent: where required, for example browser notifications and optional analytics cookies.
- Legal obligation: when we are required to process data by law.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted recipients in limited circumstances:
- Service providers: hosting, database, authentication, analytics, and support tooling providers that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and security obligations.
- Merchant of Record (Paddle): Paddle handles all payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and billing support. Paddle receives only the data necessary to complete and manage your purchase.
- Professional advisers: legal, accounting, or compliance advisers when necessary.
- Authorities: law enforcement, regulators, or courts where required by applicable law or a valid legal request.
5. Data retention
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or security purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request deletion of your personal data;

To exercise these rights, contact us through the support channel in the app. We will respond within one month, or longer if permitted by law.
If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
7. International transfers
Your data may be stored and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where data is transferred from the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to protect your data.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security in our database, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We may use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used, but only with your consent where required. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
