Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Fitz Lawrence (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use the Daily Armor and Daily Covering apps and websites (collectively, the “Service”).

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this notice, which means we decide how and why your data is processed.

1. Personal data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account information: email address, authentication provider details, and optional display name.
  • Profile and preference data: your chosen track (Daily Armor or Daily Covering), reminder preferences, and app settings.
  • Reflection and journal content: morning and evening reflections, “I Need a Moment” entries, sermon notes, goals, milestones, and any other content you choose to save, including Prayer Walk entries, step counts, walk duration, and any prayer transcript you choose to save.
  • Usage and device data: app usage patterns, device type, operating system, IP address, and browser information.
  • Optional device access: with your permission, motion readings during a Prayer Walk to count steps and microphone access to transcribe spoken prayers. If motion is unavailable, steps may be estimated from elapsed time. The app does not record or save your audio; speech recognition may be processed by your device or browser provider according to its own policies.
  • Support and communication data: messages you send us and records of support interactions.

We do not collect or store your payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record.

2. How we use your data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide the Service: creating and securing your account, storing your reflections, goals, and notes, and syncing them across devices.
  • To personalize your experience: track-specific copy, reminder timing, and optional AI-generated sermon summaries and reflection prompts.
  • To summarize sermon notes: when you request a summary or enable auto-summarize, the text of those notes is sent to our AI processing provider to generate a summary and key takeaways.
  • To improve the Service: analyzing usage trends, fixing bugs, and developing new features.
  • To communicate with you: sending account confirmations, support responses, and important service updates.
  • For security and fraud prevention: detecting abuse, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity.
  • To comply with legal obligations: responding to lawful requests and enforcing our Terms.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the Service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests: improving the Service, ensuring security, and preventing fraud.
  • Consent: where required, for example browser notifications and optional analytics cookies.
  • Legal obligation: when we are required to process data by law.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted recipients in limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: hosting, database, authentication, analytics, and support tooling providers that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality and security obligations.
  • AI and speech services: sermon notes submitted for AI summaries are processed by our AI provider. Spoken prayers may be processed by your browser's speech recognition provider when you choose to use the microphone. We do not sell or publish your private reflections.
  • Merchant of Record (Paddle): Paddle handles all payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and billing support. Paddle receives only the data necessary to complete and manage your purchase.
  • Professional advisers: legal, accounting, or compliance advisers when necessary.
  • Authorities: law enforcement, regulators, or courts where required by applicable law or a valid legal request.

5. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable time, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or security purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • Request deletion of your personal data;
  • Restrict or object to certain processing;
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format;
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, use the contact information supplied with our app listing or contact the operator through the channel you used to reach the Service. We will respond within one month, or longer if permitted by law.

If you are in the UK or EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

7. International transfers

Your data may be stored and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where data is transferred from the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to protect your data.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security in our database, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use session storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your chosen track, and maintain app settings. Our website also loads a Google Ads tag, which may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure visits and conversions. You can manage browser cookies in your browser settings and device advertising preferences in your device settings.

10. Children

The Service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated notice.
